Allison Vest, MS, CCA

Allison is a classically trained artist who applies her color and design skills to medical devices. She received her Masters of Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago in Biomedical Visualization. This unique program combines art with medical and material sciences to create a uniquely trained professional. Allison received clinical training at the University of Florida’s dental school and the Morriston Hospital in Swansea, Wales. These diverse experiences transfer to the unique level of care that Allison provides to her patient base. Allison has worked in her Dallas, Texas-based private practice since 2005. As the current owner of this highly specialized practice clinic, she takes extreme pride in the level of care and personalized dedication each and every patient receives. Additionally, Allison served on the Board for Certification in Clinical Anaplastology from 2012 to 2019. She was the president from 2017-2018 and is currently the President of the International Anaplastology Association. Allison’s practice was recently featured on TLC in a docuseries titled “Body Parts”. The three-episode series follows patients receiving a variety of services in hopes of bringing exposure to the field. Allison is excited to see Anaplastology grow as a profession.

MEET OUR TEAM

Ashley Homan

Ashley graduated from Baylor University with a BSED in health science studies with a concentration in health professions. Additionally, she minored in biology and art, focusing on courses geared toward sculpting and color matching in preparation for a career in anaplastology. She joined the Mosaic Prosthetic team in early 2022 and also runs our social media accounts using skills she gained while working on the marketing team for Baylor Alpha Phi.

Becky Sayers Hanson

Becky graduated from Texas A&M with degrees in psychology and English. After teaching writing for ten years at the University of North Texas, she experienced some health problems and eventually became focused on finding a profession where she could help others work their way through the quagmire of insurance rules and regulations. She joined Mosaic Prosthetics in October of 2023 and has fallen completely in love with her job and the caring environment of our office. In her time off work, she enjoys reading, listening to true crime podcasts, being silly with her husband and dogs, and attempting to make her nieces and nephews (both biological and honorary) laugh.

The Anaplastology Experience

Our Clinic’s Mission

Our experienced team is dedicated to providing a comfortable and relaxed environment in which the patient receives highly personalized prosthetic care with optimized outcomes. From beginning insurance authorizations all the way to skin details such as freckles and fine lines, we strive to serve the unique needs of each patient.

Highly specialized treatments plans

As a traditionally trained artist and clinically trained anaplastologist, Allison’s prosthetics are designed and developed with your customized amputation or condition in mind. With this specialized service, we see people far and wide, from Austin, Dallas, and Oklahoma City to those who fly in from other countries. We strive to help you improve your quality of life, achieve your goals, and live your best life possible.

Experience and Professionalism

With over 18 years of experience serving the Dallas medical community, Mosaic Prosthetics works with you and your doctor to create a customized treatment plan. We understand the importance of designing something simple for the patient to use but also eloquently life-like. Our eye, ear, nose, and body prostheses are designed to be incredibly realistic but also function to help in daily life. A finger prosthesis functions when typing and gripping. An ear prosthesis supports protective and corrective lenses. The smallest prosthesis can make a substantial difference.
